Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) Energy Structured Finance team in London is seeking an Associate to support lending and debt advisory mandates. The role involves pitching opportunities, coordinating with DCM, Ratings Advisory and Risk Solutions, and aiding in deal execution across Europe with potential US/Brazil/Asia involvement.

You will help structure debt financing, prepare materials, and liaise with diligence providers and lawyers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within Structured Finance.
• Knowledge and interest in the energy sector.
• Strong modelling and MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of new and existing mandates across lending and debt advisory.
• Assist in structuring and placement of debt financing, including preparation of a financial model and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with due diligence providers and lawyers, and present the transaction to internal committees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and cross‑functional teams.
