Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic administrator to join the Endoscopy team as an Endoscopy Booking Officer. You will provide a professional, efficient service supporting the Clinical team and managers to meet national waiting targets and ensure patient care remains high.

You will train and guide junior admin staff, supporting service improvements and ensuring accurate patient documentation while adapting to flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Experience in NHS or hospital administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive waiting list administration to meet national targets.
• Book lists for the clinical team accurately.
• Prepare diagnostic procedures and ensure notes are available for admission.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Maintain patient documentation and report faults promptly.
• Coordinate with senior staff and departments to manage referrals and pre‑assessments.
• Ensure correct RTT/clock status updates and pathway placement.
