Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Endoscopy Booking Officer to join our Endoscopy Team. You will provide a professional, efficient administrative service supporting the Clinical team, Endoscopy Supervisor, Unit Manager and divisional Managers to help deliver safe, timely patient care.

Qualifications

• GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience working with MS Office software.
• Secretarial/Administration from a previous waiting list officer experience.
• Previous NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure waiting list administration to meet national targets.
• Booking of lists for the clinical team accurately.
• Assist with preparation of diagnostic procedures and ensure notes are available for admission.
• Work flexibly including evenings and weekends to maintain smooth unit reception.
• Maintain accurate/current patient documentation and report faults.
• triage referrals and organize paperwork, deadlines and reminders.
• Coordinate with clinical team on pre-assessment, equipment and prescriptions.
