Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced End User Computing Engineer to provide ongoing support for Digital Deployment and IT Service Desk services, delivering frontline and BAU support to business users.

You will handle 2nd line support, participate in projects, manage base images, and work with Horizon View, AD, and security hardening to protect desktop devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-user computing environments.
• Proven ability to deliver BAU and project work.
• Knowledge of security and OS hardening.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level support alongside BAU team and deliver projects.
• Liaise with IT Service Desk, Infrastructure and third parties for resolution of tasks.
• Respond to support requests logged on the service desk system promptly.
• Utilise Remote Management software for complex issues.
• Manage and support multiple technologies (Horizon View, AppSense, App-V, AD, EPC, MDM).
• Manage all change, problem and incidents and escalate as needed.
• Provide cyber security, vulnerability scanning, and hardening of desktops.
• Perform analysis, diagnostics, and problem resolution; test hardware/software.
• Assist in pre-deployment configuration of IT desktop devices and asset labelling.
• Assist in periodic IT asset audits and maintenance of desktops.
