Job summary

Southern Housing's Care & Support team is looking for a compassionate Care & Support Worker to provide hands-on, person-centred support across schemes in Freshwater, Ryde, Newport and the Bay area. You’ll follow individual care plans, help residents live independently, while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided, but a vehicle with business use insurance is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care and complete required training

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care and support plans
• Support people to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
• Support older people, people with learning disabilities and autism, people with mental health needs and people with complex support needs
• Carry out moving and handling duties
• Work evenings and weekends where required
• Take part in sleep-in and on-call rotas where required
• Maintain accurate records and reports
