A reputable law firm in England is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their established team. The role involves managing a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising clients on various employment law issues, and supervising junior team members. Our Client is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE to join their established Employment team. This is a dynamic role offering the opportunity to manage a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, support a diverse client base, and help drive the continued growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise employers and employees on a wide range of employment law issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancies, and TUPE
  • Manage contentious matters such as Employment Tribunal claims and negotiations of settlement agreements
  • Draft and review contracts of employment, staff handbooks, and employment policies
  • Deliver training to clients and internal teams on employment law updates and practices
  • Assist with the supervision of junior lawyers and trainees within the team
  • Participate in business development initiatives and maintain strong relationships with clients across a variety of sectors
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Employment Law with experience handling both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong business development instincts and a proactive attitude to client care
  • Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior team members is desirable
