The Role and Team
This role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a small employment team in Watford, while benefiting from being part of a large department (over 30 lawyers). You will work closely with employment colleagues across other offices. Our Watford team consists of two Partners, a Solicitor, and a Trainee, providing an open environment for an Associate or Senior Associate to add value. The role involves a variety of employment law work, including advising on employee relations, discrimination, employment contracts, TUPE, and defending employment tribunals. Clients come from sectors like manufacturing, finance, recruitment, pharmaceuticals, energy, and education, based in the UK and overseas, ensuring diverse and engaging work. While most work is respondent-based, there is also some high-value claimant work, though experience in this area is not required to apply.
The role is collaborative and sociable, involving supporting corporate deals and projects within the firm. You'll enjoy working with colleagues across offices to provide seamless service. Our team values flexibility and work-life balance, fostering a human and supportive environment.
Where Will I Be Working?
We operate a hybrid working model, combining office and home working. Ideally, you would work from our Watford office three or more days per week to enjoy our culture firsthand. We are open to discussing specific hybrid working arrangements on an individual basis.
