In this role, you’ll work one‑on‑one with participants, providing tailored employment support to break down barriers, build confidence, and equip them with the skills needed to re‑enter the job market. Whether it’s personalised career coaching, retraining for a new sector, or supported job searching, you’ll be there every step of the way.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Empowering individuals with expert career advice, motivation, and confidence‑building strategies.
  • Delivering intensive one‑to‑one support, helping participants identify their strengths and transferable skills.
  • Creating tailored action plans to help individuals achieve their employment goals.
  • Facilitating engaging group sessions to support job search strategies and skill development.
  • Keeping up with the local job market and building relationships with employers to create opportunities.
  • Managing your own caseload, ensuring each participant receives ongoing support and guidance.
  • Meeting and exceeding targets, making a tangible impact on people’s lives.
About You

Whilst we would be delighted to hear from you if you have previous experience of working in the employability sector, or if you have a level 4 Careers Information Advice and Guidance qualification, we are also interested to hear from people who have worked in other sectors where you’ve relished the opportunity to achieve a personal target whilst excelling at providing outstanding customer service, as long as you can demonstrate an understanding of the local labour market and an understanding of what it takes to support unemployed adults to secure sustainable employment.

  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade 4 / C or equivalent).
  • An appreciation of the benefits and an ability of using digital tools to support participants.
  • The ability to identify, establish and maintain effective working partnerships for the benefit of customers.
  • The ability to keep accurate and up to date records with a good attention to detail, including data entry on electronic systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to demanding pressures and to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.

We also offer a great benefits package, including 26 days annual leave, rising each year to a maximum of 33 days; enhanced sick pay; enhanced pension contributions; life assurance cover; access to counselling service; access to medical health plan and the opportunity to work flexibly across home and office locations.
