Job summary

Dignity is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) at our Letchworth branch. You will be the first point of contact for families, providing reassurance and handling funeral arrangements with care and professionalism.

This role involves supporting families, guiding them through plans and ceremonial duties as needed, and contributing to local community outreach. You will train in Funeral Conducting, oversee branch operations, liaise with service providers, and help raise awareness of

Qualifications

• Empathy, calmness and empathy in emotionally sensitive situations.
• Experience in customer service, care, or admin (training provided).
• Strong communication, organisation and administrative skills with ability to handle legal paperwork.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office, Outlook and internal databases.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and requirements with clarity and compassion.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and presentation.
• Liaise with suppliers such as ministers, celebrants and florists.
• Lead chapel visits and assist families with requests.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to branch plan sales.
