Job summary

Dignity Plc is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) at our Letchworth branch. You will be the first point of contact for families, offering reassurance and guiding them through funeral arrangements with care and professionalism.

Training will cover Funeral Plans and ceremonial duties as needed. You will oversee branch operations, liaise with ministers and florists, and support outreach in the community, while building trusted local relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, care or admin (training provided).
• Communication, organisation and administrative skills are essential.
• PC literate with IT systems such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy and professionalism.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and administration.
• Liaise with ministers, celebrants, and florists.
• Lead chapel visits and ceremonial duties when needed.
• Promote funeral plans within the branch.
• Represent the branch in the local community and outreach.
