Job summary

J. C. Clarke & Son Funeral Directors in Hoole invites applications for a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One). You will lead the branch day to day, support families with empathy and manage ceremonies, with training in Funeral Plans.

The role requires strong organisation and a full UK driving licence is desirable. You will complete Funeral Plan Consultant training, work 19.32 hours per week, and earn about £13,462 per annum with ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and well-organised individual.
• Willing to complete Funeral Plan Consultant training.
• Experience in customer service, care or admin is beneficial (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals that meet family wishes, with legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including administration and presentation.
• Build relationships with suppliers, care homes and local groups.
• Lead chapel visits to support families.
• Raise awareness of funeral plans and contribute to plan sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting for ceremonial duties during peak times.
