Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors in Aldershot are seeking a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One). You will be the first point of contact for families, providing empathetic support while coordinating funeral arrangements from our Aldershot branch.

You will guide families through plans, liaise with suppliers, and help ensure ceremonies run smoothly. A driving licence is desirable; weekend/on-call work may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Empathy and calmness in sensitive situations.
• Experience in customer service, care, or admin (training provided).
• Excellent communication, organisation and admin abilities; comfortable with legal paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements; present relevant products.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and administration.
• Liaise with ministers, celebrants, florists; lead chapel visits as needed.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to branch sales; represent the branch locally.
• Train in Funeral Conducting to assist with ceremonial duties during peak times.
