Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager in Watford. You will work with a small team of managers to keep the store running smoothly and take day-to-day responsibility for store operations, ensuring customers are served efficiently.

You'll develop through the Manager New to Role programme with peer support, line-manager guidance and practical, on-the-job training. Strong customer service and leadership potential are essential.

Qualifications

• Delivers excellent customer service and helps colleagues.
• Able to coach a team and improve performance.
• Willing to learn and complete the 12-week Manager New to Role programme.
• Able to handle disciplinary and employee relations issues.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure store runs smoothly.
• Take day-to-day responsibility for the store, often the only manager with full accountability.
• Work with a team to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, and scheduling and pay.
• Occasionally assist another store within a network of convenience locations.
