Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring an Emergency Department Patient Flow Assistant to support the Nurse and Consultant in Charge with the safe and timely flow of patients through the department. This role involves monitoring patient movement, handling departmental admin, and coordinating with services to maintain patient flow.

The post is part-time with shift coverage across a 24/7 period.

Responsabilités

• Ensure up-to-date plans for all patients (>2 hours).
• Keep clerking up to date in real time.
• Cross reference patients to ensure all referrals are on the tracker.
• Input Bed Booked times accurately.
• Record referral times to specialties and outcomes.
• Ensure coding is completed by a clinician prior to discharge.
• Support IPS breaches reporting to area leads and staff.
