Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Emergency Call Taker to be the first calm, compassionate voice for callers in emergencies. You will ask key questions, provide reassurance, and support callers through critical moments.

Based on-site at Otterbourne, Hampshire, training begins Jan 2027. Roles include full-time and part-time shifts with NHS benefits, parking, and flexible working considerations where possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
• Training courses available from January 2027 onwards.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for callers in emergencies, staying calm and focused under pressure.
• Ask the right questions, provide reassurance, and guide callers through critical situations.
• Coordinate life-saving emergency responses and support callers through high-stress moments.
