Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Emergency Call Taker based at our Emergency Operations Centre in Bicester. The role requires staying calm under pressure, asking the right questions, and providing support to callers during critical incidents.

Training is provided, and the position is on-site with no remote work. We offer NHS benefits, and part-time hours with a salary pro rata per annum ranging from £25,760 to £27,476.

Qualifications

• No medical experience required.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bicester and complete NHS training.

Responsibilities

• Answer 999 calls as the first point of contact.
• Provide reassurance and ask the right questions in critical situations.
• Support callers through emergency guidance and coordinate responses.
