Job summary

Fluence Energy is seeking a SCADA Network Engineer to support Battery Energy Storage Systems across the EMEA region. You will combine SCADA, networking, and cybersecurity expertise to deliver reliable, high‑performing solutions for diverse customers.

You will work with Field Service Engineers, support integration with TSO environments, and help drive continuous improvement in system documentation and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in SCADA/OT or industrial networking.
• Experience with industrial protocols and networks (IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC).

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA, monitoring, networking, cybersecurity, system architecture, and equipment integration for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Support integration with TSO and customer SCADA environments.
• Develop and maintain network architectures, signal lists, diagrams, inventories, and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers to troubleshoot and implement solutions across SCADA and network environments.
• Draft and execute validation procedures for upgrades and changes.
• Participate in hands‑on lab testing of new technologies and system enhancements.
• Act as technical interface for customers, partners, and subcontractors throughout the service phase.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose network issues, and perform root cause analyses for reliability improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and documentation.
