Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Business Development lead for the EMEA GTM Surge Acceleration team to advance Generative AI adoption among strategic enterprise customers.

You will join a lean, senior advisory team with experience across enterprises, consultancies, tech firms, and system integrators. The role focuses on AWS' largest accounts and may require travel to customer sites and industry events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales experience in technology.
• 5+ years in one or more priority industries, including Financial Services or Software & Internet.
• Experience engaging C-suite and VP-level stakeholders in strategic technology and AI discussions.
• Experience translating complex business challenges into technology roadmaps and orchestrating cross-functional delivery.
• Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives spanning business and technology.
• Experience developing strategies that influence organizational leadership decisions in Global Financial Services.
• Experience in go-to-market, business development, sales, or consulting.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree, multilingual, or experience with AWS or enterprise SaaS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the AI engagement lifecycle across strategic Surge accounts from discovery to production deployment.
• Advise C-suite executives and serve as the primary AI resource for assigned accounts across EMEA.
• Set vision and measurable outcomes for assigned industry verticals and define AI GTM approaches.
• Build business development pipeline with C-suite prospects and partners to accelerate deals.
• Translate industry challenges into actionable Generative AI use cases tying to AWS services and partner solutions.
• Maintain executive engagement and governance from qualification through production launch.
• Coordinate with account teams, solution architects, GenAIIC, ProServe, ISVs, and industry partners.
• Create industry thought leadership materials and represent AWS at events.
• Present strategic progress reviews and opportunities to expand AI adoption.
