Job Description

This role is based in our 240 Blackfriars office, London

The Email & CRM Automation Specialist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive email marketing strategy and advanced automation workflows across the GLG portfolio. This role combines strategic email marketing with sophisticated automation development, focusing on audience segmentation, personalized experiences, and data governance. The successful candidate will build complex automated nurture campaigns, optimize email performance through testing and analysis, be responsible for all segment builds, and serve as the data guardian to ensure optimal database health and prevent audience fatigue across all marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy across the GLG portfolio, focusing on audience segmentation and personalized experiences.

Campaign Design and Execution: Develop email campaigns for attendee acquisition, lead generation, and retention, while coordinating with content teams for campaign assets.

Email Performance Optimization: Continuously test and optimize email campaigns to improve engagement, deliverability, and conversion rates.

Marketing Automation Workflows: Build, manage, and optimize complex automated email workflows, including behavioral trigger campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and re-engagement campaigns.

Lead Scoring and Profiling: Develop lead scoring and progressive profiling strategies to enhance automation workflows and improve targeting.

Data Governance and Audience Management: Act as the data guardian, ensuring database health, managing audience segmentation, and preventing audience fatigue through effective scheduling.

List Growth and Hygiene: Implement strategies to grow the email list while maintaining high-quality engagement and ensuring proper list hygiene.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: Analyze email performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and provide actionable insights to improve results.

Deliverability and Inbox Placement: Monitor email deliverability and implement strategies to maintain high inbox placement rates.

Cross-Team Coordination: Oversee email scheduling across teams to avoid conflicting campaigns and ensure alignment with overall marketing goals.

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, automation workflows, and audience segmentation.
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Pardot, Salesforce).
  • Strong skills in data management, performance analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail for accurate execution.
  • Adaptability to dynamic environments and alignment with business goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; certifications in email marketing or CRM tools are a plus.
