Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Repairs Team in Fareham. The role covers inspection, fault-finding, repair, refurbishment and rebuild of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service.

You will develop an understanding of real-world product performance and apply structured fault-finding and root cause analysis to resolve issues. You will work on assemblies from component level through to final testing and sign-off, gaining knowledge of Saab Seaeye’s

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Carry out structured fault-finding and root cause analysis using drawings, schematics, and test equipment.
• Perform soldering and assembly tasks to required quality standards.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and assist with pressure, leak and soak testing.
• Complete repair and refurbishment activities accurately and within delivery targets.
• Maintain repair records and support 6S and continuous improvement activities.
