Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Fareham Repairs Team. You will inspect, fault-find, repair, refurbish and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service.

You will develop understanding of product performance and perform structured fault-finding to identify and resolve issues, supporting testing and sign-off across Saab Seaeye ROV components.

Qualifications

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Carry out fault-finding using drawings, schematics and test equipment.
• Perform soldering and wiring tasks to high quality standards.
• Work on electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies with testing.
• Maintain repair records and traceability in company systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Perform structured fault-finding and root cause analysis.
• Carry out soldering and wiring to required quality.
• Work on complex assemblies and assist with pressure and leak testing.
• Complete repairs accurately to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Identify recurring faults and feedback for improvements.
• Quality checks on repaired items and verification support.
