Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Repairs Team in Fareham. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and refurbish electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs, developing in-depth knowledge of Saab Seaeye's ROV products.

The role involves working with components from the unit level to final testing and sign-off, contributing to continuous improvement and lean initiatives. You will use engineering drawings and schematics, perform soldering and wiring tasks, and maintain

Qualifications

• Inspection, fault-finding and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Structured fault-finding using drawings and schematics.
• Soldering and assembly to high quality standards.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs and components.
• Use engineering drawings, electrical schematics and test equipment for fault-finding.
• Carry out soldering and assembly to quality standards.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies; assist with testing and sign-off.
• Maintain repair records and support lean and 6S activities.
