Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a fully qualified Domestic Electrician to join our Capital (planned refurbishments) team, working on residential properties across New Forest, Hampshire and up to the edge of Surrey.

The role offers a 39-hour week with a competitive salary (£42,263). Extra benefits include overtime opportunities, a company van and fuel card, uniform and PPE, paid holidays, pension contributions and life insurance, plus free legal/financial advice and Lighthouse Charity counselling.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ 3 level as an Electrician or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds).
• 18th Edition certificate required.
• AM2 certification.
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing (2391-52) obtained.

Responsibilities

• Complete domestic electrical works, isolate and make safe existing installations, install or relocate sockets, fused spurs, fans, lights, showers, pumps, renew CCUs.
• Ensure kitchens and bathrooms upgrade works meet quality standards and pass post-inspections.
• Validate electrical repairs and small works, and perform test and inspections.
• Maintain strong health and safety practices and document actions.
• Deliver excellent customer service in occupied properties.

The Domestic Electrician role:

• Completing domestic works, includingisolating and making safe existing electrical installations and installing or relocating sockets, fused spurs, fans, lights, showers, pumps and renewing CCUs
• Ensuring installations of works surrounding kitchens & bathroom upgrade programs are completed to a quality standard, and post inspections are completed.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, andtest & inspections
• Taking pride in health and safety is key to the success of this role, ensuring all actions are communicated effectively and recorded
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills when working in occupied properties in a customer facing environment.

What will you bring as a Domestic Electrician?

• Qualified to an NVQ 3 level as an Electrician or similar professional body (e.g., City & Guilds), 18th Edition certificate, and AM2 isessential
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52)
• Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of domesticenvironments
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Electrician role.
