Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. seeks a qualified Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our Direct Trades team across Hampshire and the New Forest. You will perform EICRs in occupied and vacant homes and sign off electrical certifications, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

We offer a 39-hour week, competitive salary (£44,656 base with OT/bonus around £48,712), a company van and fuel card, PPE, and pension. A stable career with development opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent).
• Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-52).
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties.
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied and vacant residential properties.
• Sign off electrical certification conducted by other electricians and notify building control of new installations.
• Ensure kitchens & bathrooms installations meet quality standards, with post inspections in line with processes.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections.
• Provide technical expertise and support operational teams, upholding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Working within our Capital works (refurbishment/planned works arm) division, this role offers the opportunity to work across a varied mix of contracts, from kitchen and bathroom upgrades and fire safety improvement works to specialist residential and refurbishment projects.

The Electrical Qualifying Supervisor role:

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied and vacant residential properties
• As an EQS you will also be responsible for checking and signing off electrical certification conducted by the other electricians as well as notifying building control of any new installation works.
• Ensuring installations of works surrounding kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standards, and post inspections are completed in line with company and industry processes.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections
• You’ll provide technical expertise, support operational teams, and help maintain our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and regulatory compliance.

What will you bring as an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor?

• Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent)
• Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-52)
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties.
• Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the occasional requirement to be part of our on-call rota for emergency out of hours electrical work.
• A full UK Driving License is essential for this role.
