Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to join our Capital (planned refurbishments) team, working across Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

You will handle domestic electrical works with a focus on safety, quality and thorough testing, in residential properties. We offer a competitive salary (£40,000) for a 39-hour week, with OTE up to £44,000 including bonus, overtime and travel expenses, plus a company van, uniform/PPE and a PDA.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 level or equivalent body (e.g., City & Guilds) qualification is essential.
• 18th Edition certificate and AM2 are required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential to undertake the role.
• Experience with domestic electrical installations and testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete domestic works: sockets, fuse spurs, fans, lights, showers, pumps and renew CCUs with testing/c Cert.
• Prioritise health and safety; communicate and record actions clearly.
• Deliver excellent customer service in occupied properties and customer-facing settings.

The Domestic Electrician role:

• Completing domestic works, includingwiring sockets, fuse spurs, fans, lights, showers, pumps and renewing CCUs with the ability to test and certify the work
• Taking pride in health and safety is key to the success of this role, ensuring all actions are communicated effectively and recorded
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills when working in occupied properties in a customer facing environment.

What will you bring as an Domestic Electrician?

• Qualified to an NVQ 3 level as an Electrician or similar professional body (e.g., City & Guilds), 18th Edition certificate, and AM2 isessential
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52)
• Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of domesticenvironments
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Electrician role.
