Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd in Devon & Cornwall is seeking an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our dedicated direct trades team. The role involves completing EICRs and repairs in occupied residential properties, and signing off certificates while coordinating with building control on new installations.

You will ensure kitchen and bathroom electrical works meet high quality standards and oversee post-inspections. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent)
  • Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-52)
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations essential
  • Experience in domestic occupied properties
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Occasional on-call rota for out-of-hours work

Responsibilities

  • Complete ongoing electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties
  • Sign off electrical certification conducted by other electricians and notify building control of new installations
  • Ensure kitchens & bathrooms installations meet quality standards and post inspections are completed
  • Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections

We are looking for a conscientious, and qualified Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our dedicated direct trades team based in Devon & Cornwall.

The Electrical Qualifying Supervisor role:
  • Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties
  • As an EQS you will also be responsible for checking and signing off electrical certification conducted by the other electricians as well as notifying building control of any new installation works.
  • Ensuring installations of works surrounding kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standard and post inspections are completed.
  • Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections
What will you bring as an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor?
  • Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent)
  • Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-52)
  • 18th Edition(BS 7671)Wiring Regulations is essential.
  • Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties.
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the occasional requirement to be part of our on-call rota for emergency out of hours electrical work.
  • A full UK Driving License is essential for this role.
