Job summary

Ian Williams is seeking a conscientious, fully qualified Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our trades team based in Bristol/Swindon.

You will perform on-going electrical testing in occupied residential properties, sign off certifications, ensure kitchen and bathroom works meet quality standards, and handle small repairs. A full UK driving license is essential, with occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent) required.
• Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing (C&G 2391-52) required.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties.
• Check and sign off electrical certification conducted by other electricians and notify building control of new installation works.
• Ensure installations around kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standard and post inspections are completed.
• Validate electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections.

The Electrical Qualifying Supervisor role:

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties
• As an EQS you will also be responsible for checking and signing off electrical certification conducted by the other electricians as well as notifying building control of any new installation works
• Ensure installations of works surrounding kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standard and post inspections are completed
• Validate electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections

What will you bring as an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor?

• Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent)
• Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-52)
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations is essential
• Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties
• Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the occasional requirement to be part of our on-call rota for emergency out of hours electrical work
• A full UK Driving License is essential for this role
