Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a qualified Electrician for a new long-term contract in the West Midlands. You will specialise in day-to-day repairs and maintenance for social housing clients, with some electrical testing in mutual exchanges.

The role offers a competitive basic salary, overtime, and call-out bonuses, plus company van and fuel card, uniform, PPE, and a PDA to manage work. Safety and customer service are emphasised throughout.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition with AM2 is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential to undertake the role.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) preferred.
• Experience in social housing/domestic electrical work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in social housing settings.
• Perform void property repairs, rewires, testing and upgrades.
• Provide excellent customer service in occupied properties.

The Electrician role:

• Undertaking electrical repairs and maintenance work within a social housing domestic setting, with occasional electrical testing requirements on mutual exchanges
• Voids - Repairs, rewire, testing and general upgrade works of void properties before they are re-let
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills when working in a customer facing environment in occupied properties.

What will you bring as an Electrician?

• Qualified to an NVQ 3 level as an Electrician, with an 18th Edition certificate and AM2, which is essential
• City & guild 2391 or equivalent in inspection and testing is preferrable
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake theElectricianrole.A company van will be provided.
