Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrician for a long-term contract in the West Midlands. You will perform electrical repairs and maintenance in social housing, including testing on mutual exchanges and void works, with a strong focus on customer service in occupied homes.

The role offers a competitive £40,093 salary for a 39-hour week, with opportunities for bonuses, overtime, van and fuel card, PPE, PDA, holidays, pension, life insurance and support services.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition certificate and AM2 are required.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in inspection and testing is preferable.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; company van provided.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking electrical repairs and maintenance in social housing domestic settings.
• Voids: repairs, rewiring, testing and upgrades before re-let.
• Provide excellent customer service in occupied properties.

Job description

We are delighted to be looking for a qualified Electrician to join us on a new long term contract in our successful Response Maintenance Business covering the West Midlands. You will specialise in day-to-day repairs and maintenance for our reputable social housing clients.

The Electrician Role

• Undertaking electrical repairs and maintenance work within a social housing domestic setting, with occasional electrical testing requirements on mutual exchanges
• Voids - Repairs, rewire, testing and general upgrade works of void properties before they are re-let
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills when working in a customer facing environment in occupied properties.

What will you bring as an Electrician?

• Qualified to an NVQ 3 level as an Electrician, with an 18th Edition certificate and AM2, which is essential
• City & guild 2391 or equivalent in inspection and testing is preferrable
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Electrician role. A company van will be provided.
