Job summary

Thames Water Ltd is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team at Earlswood - Redhill. You will inspect, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant across our wastewater sites, ensuring operational reliability with minimal supervision.

A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering is expected. The role offers a permanent, full-time contract (38 hours/week) with a competitive salary up to £42,000, standby payments, and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred, but training can be given.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults quickly to avoid process interruptions and assist during incidents.
• Provide technical advice and training to trainees and staff.
• Work on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, control gear and PLCs as required.
