Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited, based at Chieveley sewage treatment works, RG20 8TY, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical and mechanical plant with minimum supervision.

You'll undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, record asset information, provide technical advice, and support apprentices. 38 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with a salary up to £42,000 and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering completed or in progress.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations preferred; training available.
• Full UK driving licence held or obtainable.
• Able to work with limited supervision and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical/electrical plant and equipment.
• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, and escalate as needed.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and raise risks for resolution.
• Provide technical advice and coach staff including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience with professional, timely communication.
