Job summary

Thames Water in Witney is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical assets across the Cotswolds. The role involves proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure reliable plant operation and process continuity.

You will work within a close-knit team, troubleshoot faults, interpret electrical drawings, and contribute to safety and compliance. A time-served apprenticeship and BS7671/18th Edition knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
• BS7671 or 18th Edition electrical wiring regulations.
• Experience with 3-phase systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across the Cotswolds sites.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Carry out service and replacement of assets on pumps, motors, control gear, and PLCs.
• Support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Provide technical advice and training to the team as required.
• Undertake fault diagnostics and resolve issues promptly.
• Interpret and update electrical drawings.
• Provide daily feedback on work carried out.
