Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician based at Chieveley sewage treatment works near Reading. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify and repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment with minimal supervision.

This full-time role offers up to £42,000 per year, 38 hours weekly, 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a pension, health and wellbeing benefits, and a van on duty/on-call.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with mechanical/electrical experience.
• 18th Edition preferred, but training can be given.
• Full UK driving license.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and well-being of yourself and others, complying with regulations.
• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, fault-finding and repairs.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and identify risks.
• Provide technical advice and coaching to staff and apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience with professional interactions.
