Job summary

Proftech Talent is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Technical Support Engineer in Tamworth. The role focuses on providing technical guidance across an electrical product portfolio, supporting customers and colleagues with practical, clear advice.

Ideal candidates will have strong electrical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, on-site environment. The position is full-time and based in Tamworth with standard Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical knowledge including wiring and installation practices.
• Clear, practical technical guidance for customers and sales teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email with accurate product guidance.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues through structured troubleshooting.
• Interpret drawings and electrical schedules to produce distribution board drawings.
• Prepare take-offs and cross-specifications to support quotations.
• Translate requirements into clear technical drawings for customers.
• Log cases and maintain records for reporting and analysis.
