Job summary

Get Recruited UK Ltd is partnering with an established engineering business in Chelmsford to recruit a Technical Support Coordinator. The role combines hands-on electrical product knowledge with customer care and order administration to keep orders moving.

You'll handle enquiries by phone and email, explain product functions from datasheets to circuits, and liaise with overseas manufacturing to resolve complex questions within a small, friendly team that values team dinners and a birthday off.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Support Advisor, Customer Service Executive, or similar role supporting customers with electrical/electronic products.
• Electrical engineering background with ability to explain technical information to customers.
• Understanding of electrical components and how they function within a circuit.
• Able to read electrical diagrams and datasheets, including supply voltages and relay contacts.
• Attention to detail when processing orders and following up enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email, asking relevant questions to understand requirements and provide advice.
• Explain electrical product functions and specifications to help customers understand.
• Read datasheets and schematics to answer questions about relays and control circuits.
• Investigate product performance and fault enquiries, gathering information to establish next steps.
• Liaise with technical colleagues and overseas manufacturing to resolve complex questions.
• Manage enquiries through the shared inbox and maintain records.
• Process customer orders accurately entering them into the order management system.
• Answer questions about availability, order progress and deliveries, coordinating with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required.
• Adapt to new systems as the business introduces more automated ordering and customer administration processes.
