Job summary
Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical assets at Cherwell sites in the Thames Valley North Wastewater Operations Region. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations and support site resilience.
You will diagnose faults, service assets such as pumps, motors, VSDs and PLCs, and work with cross-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in electrical engineering.
- BS7671 / 18th Edition electrical regulations qualification.
Responsibilities
- Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across Cherwell sites.
- Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs to avoid process interruptions.
- Service and replace assets including pumps, motors, starters and controls, VSDs and PLCs.
- Support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance.
- Provide technical advice and training to the team as required.
- Undertake fault diagnostics and update electrical drawings.
