Job summary
Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to cover the Cotswolds area within the Thames Valley North Wastewater Operations Region. The role offers development potential, cross-skilling across engineering disciplines and opportunities to support resilient sites.
You will maintain electrical equipment across wastewater treatment sites, using proactive and reactive methods to ensure safe, efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Must have time-served apprenticeship in engineering and electrical qualifications.
- Experience with electrical plant equipment and fault diagnostics essential.
- Knowledge of safety policies and confined-space work is required.
Responsibilities
- Proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across sites.
- Investigate plant faults and perform repairs to minimise process interruptions.
- Service and replace assets including pumps, motors, starters, VSDs and controls.
- Support maintenance teams with planned and breakdown activities.
- Provide technical advice and training to teammates as needed.
- Undertake fault diagnostics and prompt issue resolution.
- Interpret and update electrical drawings and monitor SCADA alarms.
