Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for our Chieveley sewage treatment works. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install or repair electrical and mechanical plant with minimal supervision to keep sites running safely.

Role involves reactive and planned maintenance, documenting asset information, and providing technical guidance to staff including apprentices; a van is provided when on call and training is available.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with electrical/mechanical experience.
• NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering is preferred.
• 18th Edition wiring regs preferred or training available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install or repair electrical equipment.
• Perform reactive and planned maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Record work and asset info; raise risks and improvements as needed.
• Provide technical advice and mentor others, including apprentices.
