A leading engineering firm in the UK is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team. Our client are specialists in their industry sector; they are now looking to recruit for an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team the job holder will carry out all required aspects of electrical project and maintenance tasks in a safe, timely and professional manner to defined standards and procedures across a wide range of manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities.
  • Contribute toward engineering continuous improvement initiatives in order to help drive plant reliability whilst also reducing mean time to repair.
  • Provide week day out of hours engineering call out support to the production department on a rota basis along with other engineering technicians.
  • Promote and maintain a positive HSE culture to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Carry out planned preventative, condition based and breakdown maintenance work as required.
  • Carry out project installation work.
  • Carry out basic instrumentation and mechanical work.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and document information.
  • Identify areas of improvement with regard to plant availability, performance and efficiency.
About You
  • Capable of working individually or as part of a team the jobholder will be qualified to a minimum of ONC standard and undertaken a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrating the ability to carry out additional multi-skilled tasks.
  • COMPEX certificate required, Delta V DCS and Safety Instrumented System knowledge.
  • This is a day shift role but you must be flexible to occasionally be available to cover night shift call out (on a rotational basis circa once every 6 weeks).
