Job summary

Job description

Brightwork's client is currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance.


Please note that this role will be based on a continental shift system – days, backs and nights.


Responsibilities

Adhere to all Safety, Health & Environmental procedures and ensure work complies with site policies and work instructions.


Rapidly diagnose and repair equipment faults, particularly electrical issues, minimising downtime and ensuring safe reinstatement of service.


Execute both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks in a high-paced manufacturing environment.


Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.


Complete all documentation to a high standard.


Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.


Qualifications

Time served electrical apprenticeship


Strong experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis, particularly with electrical systems


Experience in a manufacturing environment


Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing or industrial setting


Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment


A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.


Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
