Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer in Birmingham to join a well-established manufacturing business. In this role you will fault find, maintain, and install electrical systems across automated production equipment, including presses and welding/fabrication lines.

The position offers a stable Monday–Friday day shift, with a strong emphasis on hands-on problem solving and downtime minimisation in a varied manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias with hands-on experience in automated manufacturing
• Experience with fault finding on production equipment
• Experience with electrical installation and commissioning
• Familiarity with Siemens S7 PLCs and Allen-Bradley equipment

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding and maintenance across production machinery.
• Electrical installation and commissioning on site equipment.
• Troubleshoot contactors, inverters and machine safety systems.
• PLC fault finding focusing on I/O issues.
• Support reliability and uptime of presses and automated equipment.
