Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturer in Birmingham for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role involves maintaining large-scale production machinery, carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns to keep production moving.

You will diagnose electrical faults, read drawings, work with PLC systems and ensure safety and quality procedures are followed, with a 4 on 4 off day/night shift pattern and a salary up to £55,000.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
• Electrical maintenance experience in heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use them to diagnose faults.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Willingness to work 4 on, 4 off shift pattern including nights.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on manufacturing machinery.
• Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance per schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns safely to minimise production disruption.
• Read electrical drawings and circuit diagrams for fault finding.
• Coordinate downtime with production team and maintain records per procedures.
