Job Introduction

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Clitheroe, BB7 4QB

Salary: £41,000-£43,000 depending on experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 40 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site facilities team in Clitheroe, BB7 4QB. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of building services systems, ensuring full compliance with statutory and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and reactive multi-disciplinary maintenance across electrical, air conditioning, and building fabric systems
  • Work on planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance tasks using our Sodexo Maximo system
  • Diagnose and repair faults in building services equipment
  • Conduct compliance checks, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, and water temperature testing
  • Manage minor new works and like-for-like replacements
  • Respond to emergency callouts and support the site out of hours if required
  • Supervise sub-contractors and ensure work is delivered safely and to specification
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental practices
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Building Services or equivalent
  • Recognised apprenticeship completed
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Practical experience in a facilities maintenance or engineering role
  • Knowledge of safe systems of work and health and safety standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Air Conditioning qualification (e.g., C&G 2079 FGAS)
  • IPAF certification
  • Legionella awareness
