Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. This is a no-call-out role on a state-of-the-art facility, working within a small team to maintain complex electrical systems across critical areas.

You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot power distribution, lighting, emergency power and control systems, and ensure compliance with health care facility regulations.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 18th Edition is required.
• Level 3 electrical installations is required.
• Experience in hospital/medical/critical-care environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on panels, switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Report issues to line manager and coordinate with sub-contractors as needed.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
• Respond promptly to faults in critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Healthcare - No Call Out – Surrey – up to £42,000

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. This site is a modern, state-of-the-art facility with multiple specialist areas and cutting‑edge equipment.

You will be part of a small, skilled team of 3 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly. The campus supports a large workforce and offers excellent amenities including multiple food outlets and break areas, ensuring you have everything you need during your working day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment, maintain complex electrical systems, and gain experience across a variety of high‑tech facilities.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• reporting to your line manager with any issues.
• escorting sub-contractors around the site
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, and health care facility regulations.

Requirements:

• City and Guilds 18th Edition
• Level 3 electrical installations
• Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical‑care environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge (not essential)
• General Knowledge of electrical systems.
