Electrical Engineer

Salary: £42,000 + Benefits
Working hours: Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 17:00

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider supporting a critical healthcare contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, maintaining critical electrical infrastructure that supports the safe and efficient operation of essential services.
Working closely with the Estates team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring all electrical systems are maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and supporting a safe, compliant environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems across the site
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently
- Ensuring electrical installations comply with current regulations and industry standards
- Supporting statutory inspections, testing and certification requirements
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and prioritising critical systems
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CAFM system
- Liaising with contractors and internal teams to support the delivery of engineering works
- Following all Health & Safety procedures while working within a live critical environment
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering
- AM2 Qualification
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in Facilities Management, Building Services, Healthcare or a similar maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and safe working practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within a healthcare or critical environment
- Experience working on critical building services infrastructure
- Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems
