CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a modern healthcare campus in Guildford, Surrey. You will join a small, skilled team responsible for maintaining hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems, with a focus on reliability in critical areas.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, offers up to £42,000 per annum, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, on-site parking, and

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 18th Edition certified.
• Level 3 electrical installations qualification.
• Experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Report issues to line manager.
• Escort sub-contractors around the site.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
• Respond to electrical faults impacting critical areas (operating rooms, ICU, labs).
• Reactive works on AHU and FCU.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, outages and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and national codes.

You will be part of a small, skilled team of 3 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly. Key duties & responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels,switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• reporting to your line manager with any issues.
• escorting sub-contractors around the site
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms,ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, andhealth carefacility regulations.

Requirements:

• City and Guilds 18th Edition
• Level 3 electrical installations
• Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge (not essential)
• General Knowledge of electrical systems.
