Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a healthcare campus in Enfield, North London. You will maintain and repair hospital electrical systems, support critical areas, and work with a team of engineers in a modern, high-tech facility.

The role requires Level 3 Electrical Installations and 18th Edition, with hospital experience preferred. There is overtime and opportunities for training and career progression within a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining hospital electrical systems.
• Qualifications in Level 3 Electrical Installations and 18th Edition.
• Experience in hospital/medical environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels and switchgear.
• Report issues to line manager.
• Escort sub-contractors around the site.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
• Respond to electrical faults in critical areas (operating rooms, ICU, labs).
• Keep accurate maintenance and outage records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and electrical codes.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• reporting to your line manager with any issues.

• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, and health care facility regulations.
