Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Lead to join the Thames AMP8/AMP9 Portfolio team, delivering electrical design authority across a £150M+ capital programme for Thames Water. The role covers HV/LV design, governance, and mentoring within the Engineering Leadership Team.

Based across the Thames Water Region, you will sign off complex electrical designs, manage external electrical supply chain partners, contribute to CDM duties, and help develop in-house electrical engineering capability while

Qualifications

HV/LV electrical design authority in the water/utilities sector.
Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition).
Experience of CDM 2015 designer obligations (Regulation 9).
Knowledge of Motor Control Centre, Remote Terminal Unit design and PLC/SCADA interface systems.
Hold a Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

Providing technical sign-off for all electrical design across active schemes and maintaining HV/LV electrical design standards.
Managing electrical supply chain partners' technical output and coordinating with the ICA Lead.
Discharging CDM duties and contributing to the Safer by Design programme.
Mentoring electrical engineers and developing the electrical engineer competency framework across the portfolio.
Supporting DfMA initiatives and attending monthly Design Functional Update governance meetings.
