Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer in the Water sector. You will lead a team delivering electrical design across transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects.

We seek a Chartered Electrical Engineer with strong water-industry experience, and expertise in LV/HV systems, switchgear, and safety standards. UK design practices and DSEAR/ATEX familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Electrical Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience in the Water industry and in leading design delivery.
• Sound knowledge of LV/HV, switchgear, electrical installations in industrial environments.
• Familiar with DSEAR/ATEX, HAZOPs and UK design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to undertake technical design work to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work and contribute to bid proposals.
• Manage time and budgets to key milestones and programmes.
• Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to QA standards in design.
