Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join the United Utilities AMP8 Framework team in the North West of England, based in Blackburn. The role covers end-to-end electrical delivery across water infrastructure, from design through commissioning, with close collaboration with UU, designers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include managing LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear and SCADA interfaces, ensuring safety, cost, quality and schedule adherence across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical works on capital projects.
• Experience in UK water sector within AMP framework or similar.
• Strong understanding of electrical EICA systems and related components.
• HNC/HND or degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations, risk assessment, method statements and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA work packages across the AMP8 framework.
• Review electrical design information, ensuring safety, buildability and compliance.
• Manage procurement and subcontract packages, with tender evaluation and delivery assurance.
• Plan and execute electrical shutdowns, energisation and handover activities for live assets.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams for inspection, testing, and performance demonstration.
